Tommy Myllymaki is the winner of the Bocuse d’Or Europe in Stockholm and takes the trophy home!

At the heart of the Swedish capital, Tommy Myllymaki, made the difference among 19 other participants after 5 hours and a half of breathtaking tests! He won in front of crowds of crazy supporters, and HRH Prince Carl Philip of Sweden. The swede stood out by displaying an incredible mastery of the imposed products: Swedish piglet by Havor Gard, Coal fish and Swedish Seafood. The Bocuse d’Or Europe is the last leg before the grand final. It was held as part of the GastroNord trade exhibition at Stockholm, in Sweden on 7th and 8th May 2014.
The crème de la crème in European gastronomy was present to cheer the candidates of the 2014 edition presided over by Swedish chef Mathias Dahlgren. But the 12 chefs selected are already preparing for the final of the contest that will be held as part of the Sirha 2015 trade exhibition in Lyon. The European candidates will now need to face 12 other chefs from all over the world, also selected as the result of continental selection events or thanks to the Wild Cards. However, only one of them will be awarded the Bocuse d’Or and the ultimate title of best cook of the world!

Has won the Bocuse d’Or Europe 2014 and 12 000 € in prize money

2 – Kenneth Hansen, restaurant Svinkløv Badehotel, representing Danemark
Has won the Bocuse d’Argent Europe 2014 and 9 000 € in prize money

3 – Ørjan Johannessen , restaurant Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri, representing Norway
Has won the Bocuse de Bronze Europe 2014 and 6 000 € in prize money

The special Fish Prize was awarded to: Nicolas Davouze, restaurant Château Saint-Martin & Spa, representing France
The special Meat Prize was awarded to: Matti Jämsen restaurant G. W. Sundmans, representing Finland

The Prize for the Best Commis, presented by the Bocuse d’Or Winners Academy, was awarded to Valeria Sidorova for her excellent performance alongside Igor Sus, the Russian candidate.

Bocuse d’Or Europe 2016: direction Hungary

The International Organisation Committee has announced the name of the host for the fifth edition of the Bocuse d’Or Europe: Budapest and Hungary will host the Bocuse d’Or Europe in 2016
